With Your Child This Week

1.     Talk to your child about their address

2.     Talk about things that they need (water, food) and things that they want (candy, bike)

3.     Ask about what they want to be when they grow up

4.     Talk about their favourite part of KidFest

What we did this week at school

* Had fun centres

* Worked in our Growth Books

* Talked about needs and wants here and in other parts of the world

* Talked about different ways to make 10

* Worked on the iPads

* Practiced our sight words

            Thursday, June 12^th – Monthly assembly at 8:45am

            Friday, June 13^th – Inservice (no school)

            Monday, June 16^th – Ms. Watts away (all day)

Tuesday, June 17^th- Roots baby celebrations in both rooms

            Thursday, June 19^th – Marathon from 9:00am – 10:00am

            Friday, June 20^th – Jelly Bean Tabloid (afternoon)

Important Information

1.    It is getting warm outside!  Please make sure to put sunscreen on your child before school and send them with a hat to help protect them from the sun. 

2.    Our Celebration of Learning will take place on Tuesday, June 24^th from 9:00am– 10:00am.  This is a chance to celebrate your child’s accomplishments in Kindergarten.  We hope to see everyone there!!

3.    We are beginning to make the Grade One class lists for next year. Please indicate at the bottom whether or not your child will be here to help us make the best class combinations for next year.
