Olympic Fun!!

To celebrate the Olympics in Sochi, we decided to do our own activities related to the Olympics!  Here are some of the things we did to celebrate!!

These are the Olympic rings.  There are 5 rings.  They are blue, black, red, yellow and green.  Our buddies helped us by cutting out circles from plates.  We coloured them and stapled them in order.

For these rings, we crumpled up tissue paper and glued it onto the rings.

This is our Canadian flag.  We live in Canada so we cheered for Canada!

This is the Olympic torch.  They light the torch on fire at the beginning of the Olympics
and at the end, they put out the fire.

These are some of the Olympic sports.

We decided to try out some of the sports just for fun!

Speed Skating

Biathalon

Curling

February was also I Love to Read Month!  If our school read a total of 3000 books by the end of the month, then we would get a gold medal for reading.  WE DID IT!!!!!!

We had tons of fun learning about the Olympics!!
