Pumpkin Seeds

When we were carving our pumpkin, we pulled the seeds out of it.
Ms. Watts took them home to roast them.  We ate them!

After trying the pumpkin seeds, some kids liked them and some kids did not.
14 kids liked them and 5 kids did not.
Some kids said they tasted like popcorn!

Spooky!

We carved a pumpkin.  We took a vote about the kind of eyes, nose and mouth that we wanted.
We picked rectangle eyes, triangle nose and a smiley mouth with teeth!!
We named him Spooky!!

You might have heard your child talking about “filling up buckets”.  We have been reading the book “Have You Filled A Bucket Today?”.  This story talks about how everyone has an invisible bucket.  When we do or say things to make people feel happy, their bucket (and ours) gets filled up.  When we say or do something unkind, buckets get emptied.  We encourage you to have a look at this book and use some of the same language at home, as we help to develop kind, caring and empathetic kinders!!

Have a great and thankful long weekend!!
