Painting with Linda

Linda is a painter.  We saw her three times.  When painting with watercolour we need to use lots of water.  We used special watercolour paint and paper.  We dip the brush into the water, then into the colour we want to use and go around five times each way to make the brush pointy.  Then we painted the paper.

We experimented with:
 - putting salt on our wet paper...it sparkled!
- putting saran wrap on our wet paper...it made different lines and shapes!
- putting rubbing alcohol on our wet paper...it made circles!
- dabbing a kleenex ball on the wet paper...made it look like clouds!

In these pictures, we made a summer tree using straws to blow the paint.  We made it look like branches, a crown, a trunk and roots.
