With Your Child This Week

1.     Ask your child where we live (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada)

2.     Talk about your child’s favourite Kindergarten memory

3.     Find 3D shapes in your home

4.     Talk about some Canadian symbols (beaver, flag, inukshuk)

What we did this week at school

* Did tactile X with x-rays

* Did “My Favourite Kindergarten Memory” writing

* Talk about Canada and some Canadian symbols

* Worked in our Growth Books

* Worked on our Father’s Day surprises

* Had our monthly assembly

* Cut out 3D shapes and labelled them with the right word

* Made art work for the volunteer tea

            Friday, June 13^th – Inservice (no school)

            Monday, June 16^th – Ms. Watts away (all day)

Tuesday, June 17^th- Roots baby celebrations in both rooms

            Thursday, June 19^th – Marathon from 9:00am – 10:00am

            Friday, June 20^th – Jelly Bean Tabloid (afternoon)

            Monday, June 23^rd – Teddy Bear’s Picnic (Students bring teddy bears)

            Tuesday, June 24^th – Celebration of Learning (K & 1 at 9:00am)

            Thursday, June 26^th – Year End Assembly

                                                    Last day of school before summer break

            Friday, June 27^th – No School (Inservice)

Important Information

1.    We will be having a teddy bear picnic on Monday, June 23^rd.  We will be having our lunch outside altogether.  Students are encouraged to bring a teddy bear for the day and a lunch that does not need to be heated.

2.    Our Celebration of Learning will take place on Tuesday, June 24^th from 9:00am– 10:00am.  This is a chance to celebrate your child’s accomplishments in Kindergarten.  We hope to see everyone there!!
